The defining character trait between liberals and conservatives:
Conservatives accept, believe, and usually abide by information that is given to them, or that they receive.
Liberals question information they receive… not that they don’t accept, believe, and abide by, but it is only after an internal vetting process of the information has been conducted.
Liberals question why, how. They question period. This is paramount to the progression of civilization. Not just to technology and understanding, but to the entire human race. Questioning leads to change… change leads to growth, without growth there is only death. This is not a theory. It’s not philosophy, it’s literally a science, simple science. Which side do you want to be on?
America was founded by progressives. It was founded by liberal progressives. America was founded by men that were inspired by and sought change. That questioned everything. They questioned tyranny. They questioned why. They questioned why kings and parliament controlled trade, why a few men born to privilege ruled their nation and had supreme right to dictate over them. America was founded by men that embraced change that knew without change and growth, they would die. America was founded by men that were brave enough to step foot off shore, and journey into the unknown, both figuratively and quite literally.
America forged forward, without a leg to stand on, without financing. America forged forward, on hope, on belief that we don’t know what we’re going to do. We don’t know how we’re going to make it work, but we do know we can do better than this. America was founded by opportunist, entrepreneurs… brave men, who questioned the status quo, and embraced change.
